Curbing & Asphalt Berm. Edison & Middlesex County, NJ

Machine-formed asphalt berm and curbing: water control and edge protection in one pass.

Free Written Estimates Residential & Commercial

Edison Paving installs machine-formed asphalt berm and curbing across Edison: the extruded asphalt edge that steers stormwater, protects pavement edges, and defines lots and drives without the cost of formed concrete. On commercial lots it is standard equipment; on residential drives it quietly solves erosion problems nothing else touches at the price.

What berm does

A berm is a continuous asphalt curb, machine-extruded onto the finished mat and bonded to it. Placed along a driveway’s high edge it keeps runoff from pouring across a lawn; along a downhill edge it channels water to an inlet or a stable outlet instead of eroding the shoulder. On lots it defines islands, protects landscaping, and keeps vehicles where the striping intends. It installs in hours, costs a fraction of set concrete curb, and repairs seamlessly with the pavement it lives on.

Where we specify it

Sloped driveways that wash their downhill lawn every storm. Long lanes that shed water onto neighbors. Lot perimeters and islands due for definition after a resurfacing. Dumpster pads and loading areas that want containment edges. Berm goes in cleanly with new paving, since the machine wants a fresh bondable mat, which is why the estimate visit maps water paths before the pave date, not after.

Berm, concrete curb, or block

Berm is the economical, fast, asphalt-native edge; formed concrete curb is the municipal-spec heavy solution; granite block is the premium look. We install asphalt berm ourselves and will tell you honestly which edge your project actually calls for, including when the answer is the more expensive one we would have to price accordingly.
